SEIU Charged With Coercing Immigrants
Posted on November 13, 2009 | 1 CommentThe National Union of Healthcare Workers (NUHW) has charged the SEIU with intimidating immigrants in a recent Fresno union election. NUHW has been seeking to break away from the undemocratic SEIU. According to the NUHW, SEIU has engaged in violence and worker intimidation. They are not the only victim of SEIU's plundering. It is no wonder that the SEIU is pushing to eliminate secret ballot elections (designed to prevent this very kind of coercion) by backing Card Check Forced Unionization (the perversely named "Employee Free Choice Act"). -

ACORN Nuts Sue Over Funding Cuts
Posted on November 12, 2009 | 13 Comments"Every oak tree started out as a couple of nuts who decided to stand their ground." It's important to remember this saying when considering the federal lawsuit that ACORN has filed claiming that its federal funding cuts were unconstitutional. ACORN claims in its suit that Congress defunded it through an unconstitutional "bill of attainder". ACORN relies on a dubious Congressional Research Service (CRS) analysis that raises the question of whether Democrats are turning the nonpartisan CRS to partisan ends. Even worse, it appears that Americans must depend on Obama Attorney General Eric Holder to defend them. -

Urge Governor to Oppose Pension “Reform” Sham
Posted on November 12, 2009 | No CommentsTaxpayers must act today to urge the Governor to oppose CFFR's poorly conceived pension "reform" initiative. CFFR's pension reform amounts to a sham that does nothing to fix the current pension mess, and gives state workers a Constitutional right to guaranteed pensions - something taxpayers don't have. Please take time now to urge the Governor to oppose sham pension "reform" by going to his interactive web page. -
