“Ha,” sneered Kim, “I’ve seen more vulnerable than you.”
“I want to be very clear that I understand how important Medicaid is for many in our community to access health care services. As this process moves forward, I will continue to make clear that a budget that does not protect vital Medicaid services for the most vulnerable…will not receive my vote.”
– Young Kim, 2/26/25, before voting to pass the Medicaid-stripping “Big Murderous Bill.”
Our emphasis.
It might seem de minimis as The Battle of Los Angeles rages, but it’s not:
- There’s a Plutocracy that has called the shots for 90+% of the Republican Party since at least the time of Reagan, prioritizing above all the further concentration of wealth and power into their own hands, at the expense of the vast majority of Americans and whatever social safety net, created from FDR to LBJ, we still have left.
- And the apotheosis so far of that Plutocracy’s vision was laid out last year in their Project 2025, which Republican candidates last year wisely pretended not to know anything about, but which has guided the whole Trump II Presidency thus far.
- And the budget bill going thru Congress this month, passed recently by the House, nicknamed with typical stoopidity “The Big Beautiful Bill” by the Plutocracy’s Toilet Brush Donald Trump, is Project 2025’s fiscal fruition.
- As such, it gives FOUR TRILLION IN TAX CUTS overwhelmingly to the wealthy, only SLIGHTLY offsetting that by draconian cuts in Medicaid and SNAP for America’s needy, and STILL raising the deficit by $2.4 trillion, which the plutocracy really doesn’t give a fuck about.
You may already know all that if you’ve been paying attention.
Second point, which you may also know: Since the heyday (80’s) of Frank Luntz and the “Death Tax,” the Plutocracy and its GOP servants have been very handy at coming up with deceptive words and phrases to disguise their depredations. And one of their latest Weasel Phrases is used by Young Kim above: “The most vulnerable.”
Once you pay attention, you will notice ALL the Republicans saying they won’t “cut [Medicaid or whatever services] for the most vulnerable,” because they all talk like a bunch of Stepford Wives and Dads, droning out their spoonfed talking points. (Like Republicans and their funders ever gave a damn about anyone “vulnerable.”)
And thus they give the impression they’re not cutting Medicaid but hell yes they are – for between 9.7 million and 14.4 million people – just apparently not the “most vulnerable.”
What does that phrase even mean, the most vulnerable? It could mean the 1 million most vulnerable Americans, or the 1000 most vulnerable, or the ONE most most vulnerable person, who is possibly not only unwell but also a snowflake. Maybe it means immunity-compromised hemophiliac orphans who live on the edge of a muddy cliff – Young Kim and her colleagues wouldn’t cut Medicaid or SNAP for THEM!
Just remember, district 40 and the rest of you – when you say Young Kim lied about voting to cut Medicaid, she’ll say no she didn’t, she did keep it “for the most vulnerable” and just got rid of “waste, fraud and abuse” and “illegals” getting Medicaid illegally. And her sheeple will believe her. Bullshit. I’ve written enough, but here is one of the best explanations of how YOUNG KIM, AS THE DECIDING VOTE IN FAVOR OF THE BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL, has ripped healthcare away from 11 million Americans, including tens of thousands of her own voters, none of them invulnerable.
Vote Dem in ’26, even if it’s the Fire Hero.
It’s called compassionate conservatism Vern. That’s when they publicly acknowledge who they are screwing by claiming they are fighting for them.
Andrew Do was helping the vulnerable too. Helped em real good.
He just got five years, by the way. I was gonna go cover it like I did Sidhu, but I ran out of energy.
They’re going after his co-conspirators as well now, like the memorably named Peter Pham.
“Rhiannon knows a man named Peter Pham and her dad’s a supervisor.
Let’s start a sham nonprofit and no-one will be the wiser…”
How can the daughter and the judge-wife dodge this?
The judge-wife was most certainly in on it. Maybe the 21 year-old daughter told the judge-mom she won the lottery and so bought a house.
You know who is also concerned about the most vulnerable and an expert on homelessness and feeding the poor in marginalized communities ala Andrew Do?
Suspended business owner and 3x non profit founder James Mai. What does that even mean non profit founder? He hired an attorney?? And were are the 990s?? Oh that’s right he set them up all post Covid.
