Derek Tran Calls for Immediate Resignation of Supervisor Andrew Do
– Long-Time Michelle Steel Ally – Amid FBI Investigation

Garden Grove Workers’ Rights Advocate, U.S. Army Veteran, City Commissioner, Small Business Owner, and CA-45 congressional candidate Derek Tran issued the following statement in response to the FBI investigation into Orange County Supervisor and Michelle Steel endorser Andrew Do, and the recent FBI raid on the home of Do’s daughter– reportedly linked to the controversial misallocation of millions of dollars in county funds to a nonprofit organization she led:

“It is a betrayal of the public’s trust when elected officials use their power to benefit themselves or their families at the expense of the community. These allegations against Supervisor Do are not just troubling — they’re a blatant example of the corruption that has plagued our local government for far too long. As the son of refugees who fled corruption and oppression, I know firsthand the importance of integrity in public service. The people of Orange County deserve leaders who will put their needs first, not their own financial interests.

“Supervisor Do must resign immediately – and Michelle Steel must answer for the support she’s receiving from her long-time ally. Our community deserves better than the rampant corruption that Steel, Do, and their cronies have enabled, and we must take bold steps to clean up Orange County’s politics once and for all. As your next Congressman, I will fight tirelessly to root out corruption, hold those in power accountable, and restore faith in our government. It’s time to build a government that truly serves the people — honestly and transparently.”

As a reminder, Michelle Steel’s personal involvement in Orange County corruption scandals runs deep, stemming back to her tenure on the Orange County Board of Supervisors alongside Andrew Do:
