Steel Coat-Hangers? MAGA Michelle goes FULL ABOLITION on Abortion!

Believe what these people do, not what they say!

On Friday, Congresswoman Michelle Steel, whose spokespeople still claim she only supports abortion bans “with the exceptions of rape, incest, and health of the mother,” signed on to a bill that contains NONE of those exceptions, the “Life At Conception Act,” which would make ANY abortions at ANY time for any reason illegal throughout this nation, and presumably criminalize and punish both the doctor and the woman. That’s not what you want, is it, Orange County, Cerritos, District 45?

The gist of this New York Times story is: Most Congressional Republicans supported this same act back in 2020, before the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, and it was just a stupid “messaging” bill to keep their diehard anti-abortion supporters happy – even if the bill passed Roe would have invalidated it.

But then in the 2022 Dobbs decision the Supremes killed Roe, and, as they say, “DOG CATCHES CAR.”

NOW, after the Dobbs decision, a bill like the “Life at Conception Act” would actually DO something, it would CRIMINALIZE ABORTION NATIONWIDE, and be political death to many of its supporters. So when it was re-introduced last year, many of its previous backers just tried to quietly ignore it. Like Michelle Steel. UNTIL LAST FRIDAY.

And what made Michelle embrace this thing on Friday? The Times tells us that “her Democratic challenger criticized her for flip-flopping on the issue for political gain and the Times notified her of a story documenting her change in position.” And by “her Democratic challenger” they meant Derek Tran. It was Derek (not Kim Nguyen, not Cheyenne Hunt) who prodded Michelle into this kamikaze move, and made it clear what her real position is and what group of voters she’s most afraid of losing.

And it was Derek Tran that I heard this from. He even got himself a nice little paragraph in the New York Times out of it:

“Steel will do what it takes to win,” said Derek Tran, a consumer rights lawyer and Democrat who is running to unseat Ms. Steel. “She’s staying quiet on abortion stuff, but she’s been nothing but an extremist in making sure abortion is eliminated as a right… [Here in pro-choice California] what we are worried about is federal legislation like this.”

And the Times pried two mouthfuls of GOP-grade bullshit from Steel’s spokeswoman:

A spokeswoman for Ms. Steel… said she “is pro-life with the exceptions of rape, incest, and health of the mother.” The bill she endorsed on Friday does not include those exceptions.

She added, “Unlike her Democrat opponents, she does not support late-term abortion up until birth.” Mr. Tran describes himself as “100 percent pro-choice,” but he has not endorsed such a policy.

Yeah of course not, nobody does, there is no such policy, women don’t have abortions “up until birth,” it NEVER FUCKING HAPPENS, so a law against it has never seemed necessary in any sane state. The idea is another Republican boogieman, and Steel’s flack does her mistress proud spewing out as many lies as sentences.

Shawn Steel and his aged addled trophy wife Michelle are straight outta the 1950’s and would have no problem bringing us to a Handmaid’s Tale world, with, yes, back-alley abortions performed with the use of coat-hangers, coat-hangers ironically made of Steel. These are the two who yanked their daughter out of a fine college when she came home on vacation saying nice things about gays.

And the two are vicious liars and race-baiters, beating the worthy Jay Chen last election by turning Koreans against Chinese, and hypocritically slandering Jay as a Communist Chinese plant while it was Shawn himself who took money from Chinese Communists to introduce them to the Steels’ great pal Donald Trump.

It’s grotesque and insupportable that these two represent Cerritos and any part of Northwest Orange County, and something has to be done about that this year. Hey, Derek also works as a personal injury attorney, maybe Michelle can contract his services after this self-inflicted wound brings her down.
