At Bernie’s Early Rally: The line in Anaheim Convention Center Hall D; waiting for the doors to Hall C to open at 7:00.
OJ Blog is represented at the Bernie rally in Anaheim and will be live blogging until its phone’s pitiful battery gives out. Others here and on the wi-fi, check in! At 6:50, the line is starting to move.
And, at about 8:30, we got into the room. Locals seen of note: Progressive Democrats of America OC leader Dr. Bill Honigman, Bernie delegate Carol Levers, Occupy figure Kate Nikolenko, OCLF’s Julio Perez, Anaheim High School Board member Al Jabbar, Muslim community leaders Rashad al-Dabbagh and Raad Ghantous, and SoCal Bernie organizer Iyad Afalqa.
Bernie will supposedly speak at 10:00; here are some photos while we wait.
Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders doubled down on his prediction that the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia will be “messy.”
“Well, of course it will be (messy) but everything — that’s what democracy’s about,” Sanders said.
Democrats have expressed growing concern Sanders supporters could become unruly in Philadelphia, likening the potential for violence to what happened in Chicago in 1968.
Daily Caller –
There was a large deployment of police and sheriff personnel at this rally. A larger deployment is expected for tomorrow. I sent you some pics Greg, did you get them?
Yes, but I didn’t get to this until late tonight. I’ll put it together when time permits; soon it will be time to go to Los Amigos — though not, I expect, the anti-Trump rally after all. Just too much to do!
We’ll be at the anti-Trump rally.
