maybe i’ll stop by on my way to the Carly Fiorina victory party
Glad to hear that the GOP is stupid enough to vote Fiorina over Tom Campbell. Looks like we’ll get 6 more years of Barbara Boxer and that’s a good thing.
Hear hear.
My wife voted for Campbell…
Choi was the only politician I saw at the OC AIDS Walk a few weeks ago. Did I just lose the GOP homophobia vote for him?
Yeah, I knew he was a decent guy, even if his Republican economic ideas are as useless as they’ve been for all these decades.
I’m starting to hope Amante is the nominee; at this point he’s the only one I won’t feel bad beating up on for five months.
By the way it’s probably all decided by now; 3/4 of Republican votes were already in as of Friday. Everyone else should early-vote like that, maybe we could change things around here.
Vern,
But all Fox wants to do is raise our taxes! No bueno…
Ah, that’s your story. It’s not true. We’ve been over this.
It’s a pointless argument right now, but we’ll revisit it during the 5-month Fox vs Amante showdown.
Vern,
Amante has not won anything yet. I think Wagner will get a lot of sympathy votes and cut into Amante’s base even further. Choi can win this primary.
And Fox has not won yet either. Her tax-raising stance and affiliation with the Agranistas is going to cost her.
I believe you are referring to Melissa’s IMAGINARY tax-raising stance, and her FICTIONAL affiliation with the Agranistas, no? Okay then.
Vern,
Seriously? She has asked Republican candidates to not take the anti-tax pledge. She has said our budget problems are due to the fact that a 2/3 majority is needed to pass the budget. She says we need to “re-invest” in public schools. That is ALL about raising taxes Vern! Don’t be coy! Our readers aren’t stupid.
Your Dr. Choi also says we need to re-invest in our schools – as he told the Register, at least some of the education cuts should be reversed. They’re both right on that. We need the 2/3 majority to boost revenue as we’ve already discussed here – oil extraction tax, ending some corporate loopholes, possibly returning taxes on the top1% of earners to where they were in previous years.
To paint that as “raising people’s taxes” is pure dishonest hackery. GOP-style.
But we’ve been over this. And if it makes you happier I’ll rephrase: “Let’s revisit this argument during the big Choi-Fox smackdown this summer & fall.”
