ORANGE COUNTY DEPUTY SHERIFFS FILE LAWSUIT AGAINST COUNTY OF ORANGE TO STOP EARLY INMATE RELEASES
County Has Already Released Over 300 Jail Inmates Early During First Few Weeks Of New Policy
SANTA ANA – The Association of Orange County Deputy Sheriffs (AOCDS) filed a lawsuit today against the County of Orange to stop the County from releasing hundreds of jail inmates early, before their scheduled release dates. Citing recent changes in state law as the reason for their new early release policy, the County has released over 300 inmates early from Orange County jails since January 25.

After Wayne Quint’s ( Pres. of the Sheriffs Union ) decision to have the AOCDS blow over $105,000 plus in trying to stop a recall of know man of VioLance in Mission Viejo it would appear that maybe Mr. Quint should be renamed Don Quiote.
Wayne your just tilting at more windmills bud–go back to the doughnut shop; sit down and shut up.
Who is going to pay to keep these individuals in jail, is the AOCDS offering?
If they think it is that imporetant they should put the money up, they seem to have it for other things. Why sue the county and cost us more money? Certainly that helps nobody
Jim.
If union president Wayne Quint can spend around $100,000 to save a violent man’s job (as mayor of Mission Viejo) he can surely take more money from the rank and file whose members surely were not asked about that blown investment in the Mission Viejo recall.
I just read elsewhere that AG Jerry Brown has said this new State law does apply to county jails as well as the State prison system. The Deputies union should cut its financial losses on this one and drop the suit, fast.
