CNN and Fox News are reporting that Scott Brown has received the conciliation phone call from Martha Coakley in the Massachusetts special election to fill the U.S. Senate seat vacated by the death of Ted Kennedy. The Senate seat which has remained in the hands of the Kennedys or a stand-in for more than 50 years has passed to a political newcomer. An era is over.
