Sean Mill resigns from the Santa Ana Planning Commission

Sean Mill has resigned from the Planning Commission, effective today.  Mill says he is going to focus his energies on building the New Santa Ana blog and on helping Santa Ana Mayor Miguel Pulido to launch the new “Bank on Santa Ana” program, which will help the under-served residents in town to open bank accounts.  Many of these residents have never had a bank account available to them.

Mill said “I am going to dedicate my time and energy to help get the New Santa Ana blog up and running and to help promote the City of Santa Ana in a positive fashion.”

   I’m so sorry to hear this news. I feel we need Sean on the Planning Commission. He represented the people, not special interests. I wish he would reconsider.

   No doubt Sean will be a major force in developing our New Santa Ana blog! While I am sorry to see him leave the Planning Commission, I am happy to have his energy and commitment on board as we grow our new blog.

   The Santa Ana Business Bank is, ironically enough, a business bank. So no, they won’t be part of “Bank on Santa Ana.”

   Well you got me there! I had no idea they were offering personal accounts.

   I guess they couldn’t do enough business with the ongoing recession.

   So perhaps they WILL be involved in Bank on Santa Ana. I would hope so…

   yeah this would definitely help this bank stay open– imagine the safety deposit boxes-
   overflowin’ with cash!

   I don’t think Sean needs to resign the commission in order to do the rest.
   I don’t see a conflict— I say stay on.
