While we read of the print media getting hammered by dropping ad dollars, loss of circulation and the recession, we surely do not want to create Pravda DC. Apparently president Obama is willing to listen to proposals to support the print media if they change their status to non-profit. Quoting from the Hill:
The president said he is “happy to look at” bills before Congress that would give struggling news organizations tax breaks if they were to restructure as nonprofit businesses.
“I haven’t seen detailed proposals yet, but I’ll be happy to look at them,” Obama told the editors of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Toledo Blade in an interview.
Talk about control of the media. Just what the doctor ordered. Another industry bailout.

While they may use them behind closed doors, the White house cannot be seen with any connection to any form of whips even if its for your buggy.
