It’s official – Hieu Nguyen has hired a major GOP campaign consultant, Scott Hart, and he is launching his campaign for O.C. Clerk-Recorder on Friday, May 15.
Interestingly, he has dropped his real first name and is now going by “Hugh.” That worked for Supervisor Janet Nguyen (I truly doubt that Janet is her real name).
Here is Hieu’s press release:

From readings in the history what we now call Vietnam, real surnames is also problematic. What did all the Naguyens call themselves under other regimes in their country’s horrid past?
Hieu is as good, excuse me better than the current leaders in the recorders office from top administration to the so called management crew (ugggggggh!!!!!!!).
YOU GO HIEU!
U calling the Vietnamese people’s history a horrid past? We’ve had hardships and struggles as well as amazing accomplishments in our 3000 years of Vietnamese history.
Q-What does Chris Norby know about running the Clerk-Recorder’s Office? A-Absolutely nothing! Hugh Nguyen worked there twelve years and advanced to the #2 position. When possible, let’s start putting people in office who have the knowledge and experience to do the job right. Arnold is a perfect example of what happens when we don’t.
Larry
Knowledge and Experience is good but shouldn’t be the primary reason we vote for a candidate.
Ever heard of Mike Corona, plenty of years and plenty of knowledge and would you consider that aperfect example.
Joe,
Actually, Carona had no experience in fighting crime. He was a Bailiff.
John Lewis got Carona elected despite his inexperience. Now Lewis is trying to do the same with Norby.
Norby has no experience as a Clerk-Recorder. Hieu does.
This time we need to send Lewis and his unqualified candidate packing.
