This is sure to drive the O.C. Republicans nuts! State Senator Gil Cedillo is coming to Orange County, specifically to Santa Ana, to raise money for his Congressional campaign.
Cedillo has the support of State Senator Lou Correa (D-Anaheim) and Assemblyman Jose Solorio (D-Anaheim) and Congresswoman Linda Sanchez (D-Whittier). But note that Santa Ana Mayor Miguel Pulido is NOT on the host list. Why would he be? Cedillo is notable for his support of immigrants. Pulido, on the other hand, supported Prop. 187.
I am not sure why local Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez is not supporting Cedillo. Weird.
Cedillo’s fundraiser will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2009, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 p.m., at the Green Parrot Restaurant, located at 2035 Main Street, in Santa Ana, (across from Bowers Museum).

ahhhhh artie left out the key word AGAIN . notable for his support of immigrants .. lets see drivers license for immigrants = NO he wants drivers license for ILLEGALS ””i think we all support immigrants but if you toss in the key word the whole thing changes .
Talk about a list of the “USUAL SUSPECTS!”
That’s a who’s who of those who have ran Santa Ana and the state into the sewer tank!
“One Bill” Gil – Drivers Licenses for Illegal Aliens – Cedillo is coming to town… who gives a flying f***?
Don’t throw your money away on this event. Cedillo is going to lose to Judy Chu. Judy will do more and has done more for her latino constituents than “One Bill Gill”.
Loretta Sanchez has more taste than to support Gil Cedillo.
Go Judy Chu!

Loretta won’t get involved in this. She is involved with Emily’s List, which is endorsing Judy Chu. Plus, Hilda is close to Judy as well. Why would Loretta involve herself here?
Liz,
The 32nd Congressional District has 443,215 Latinos, out of a total population of 669,545. That comes to over 66%!
There are 110,646 Asian residents in that district.
So why would Loretta support Judy Chu over Gil Cedillo? That would be like supporting Van Tran over Loretta here in the 47th congressional district. That would be silly, wouldn’t it?
Now if Loretta has some sort of issue with Gil, that would be another matter. But he seems to have a genuine interest in helping the working families of his district.

Looking at the list: I wonder was their any white,Asian, black guests invited. Kinda Racist Hah!!!
I wonder also do you think the Mr.Pulido supports 187, because he is an American and see’s within his own city the distruction that illegal immigrantion is having. And the cost to the Ameican taxpayer who already are over burdened with taxes.
Art mybe you don’t like Mr.Pulido, because without all your medical clients your not making bank!!
Art,
Loretta Sanchez is not supporting Judy Chu either. My understanding is that she’s staying out of this one, but she has been involved with Emily’s List in the past. We cannot assume that just because Cedillo is Latino that he will best represent that district. Look at Alberto Gonzales or your own Mayor in Santa Ana.
I don’t live in that district, so I don’t have to decide. But I do know that Cedillo’s campaign spending on items at Nordstroms and Banana Republic would give me reason to pause.
Of course Loretta Sanchez wouldn’t support Cedillo: He’s the Congressional Hispanic Caucus’s candidate, and we all know she isn’t exactly a fan.
Frankly, the fact that the Hispanic Caucus would back such a comicly corrupt candidate instead of, say, Emanuel Pleitez, show’s just how far off-track they have become.
