T-Rack appears to have run interference for alleged mob figure

O.C. District Attorney Tony Rackauckas is starting to sound a lot like Mike Carona, as his trial continues.

“Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas testified Wednesday that he ordered investigators to halt a 2000 probe into the activities of his friend and wealthy campaign contributor, Patrick DiCarlo, because he first wanted to examine evidence personally to see whether an investigation was warranted,” according to the O.C. Register.

Even worse – “The allegations were referred to the Orange County grand jury, which did issue a critical report in 2002 that determined Rackauckas directly intervened in several cases regarding or at the request of campaign contributors.”

And one of the investigators told T-Rack that DiCarlos was alleged to have mob ties.  But T-Rack would not lisetn.  Now it may come back to haunt him…
