First off, the Steelers are a clunky team! No Terry Bradshaw, no Lynn Swann, no Franco Harris, no Rocky Blier, No Mean Joe Greene. We loved the “Showtime” Steelers of the 70’s. They even had to change the rules to keep those Steelers from winning Six in a row. That was then…this is now!
Our sentimental favorite was for the Arizona Cardinals…..Matt Lineart is the back up Quarterback…..and will probably start next year. It was touching to see Kurt Warner receive the Walter Payton Award before the game. Kurt seems very grounded these days. If only the Arizona Defense had been able to stop that last drive by the Steelers. Oh well, this is just for “Entertainment Purposes” anyway. NFL Football….that is.
Something special however did happen at this Super Bowl that hadn’t happened before, so on to the important stuff. Faith Hill sang one of the most rousing renditions of “America the Beautiful” ever heard by the human ear. Then as tears were streaming down our faces…… Jennifer Hudson rose to sing the “Star Spangled Banner”. Without a doubt…..we were absolutely convulsing with tears that would not stop…..after watching again perhaps the finest rendition of our National Anthem ever heard. Congratulations to both Faith and Jennifer! You guys were beautiful!!!
