It looks like Santa Ana City Manager Dave Ream and his henchmen won’t be getting a raise on January 1. The Santa Ana City Council agenda for tonight’s meeting indicates that a scheduled raise for “unrepresented Executive Management” is being rolled back, presumably because Ream has guided Santa Ana into a massive budget deficit that is thought to total over $40 million dollars.
I wonder when Ream and the Santa Ana City Council will start slashing jobs?
Santa Ana is just one of the many cities across California (and the U.S.) that are in financial trouble and city managers and government across the board will be under pressure. It is easy to point fingers, but the problems are extremely widespread and certainly not exclusive to Santa Ana.
Sure the problems are not unique to Santa Ana.
But they are worse in cities that are mismanaged, like Santa Ana.
BLOW ! DAVE WEAM ……..
What is that about the COLA?
