We recently wrote about Claudio Gallegos, our former blogger, taking on the Minutemen during the recent May Day immigration protests in Santa Ana. Now you can see him in action on the video clip shown above, shot by Orange Juice amigo Mario Guerrero. Enjoy!
To say that episode produced more heat than light would be the understatement of the century.
Go Claudio, you bad-ass illegal immigrant, you! I love your passive attitude throughout the whole thing. If I didn’t know better I’d say you’ve done this sort of thing before! What a bunch of ignoramuses. Well done.

Hey they got me and the Vegetable Lady too! Way cool, thanks Mario!
There just is absolutely no reason to pay any attention to these people unless you have a need to see proof that evolution works backwards.
The skinny guy in the black shirt seems like a moron.
He intentionally got in the middle of the protesters to be disruptive. Even the officers at the end seemed to be asking him to leave the area.
What’s the point? If someone wants to protest, let them. They say a man with a bad idea can always find a friend, and often that’s what these protests are all about.
There were recently a couple of hundred people protesting in Santa Ana for rights for illegal immigrants, and they were allowed to have their protest without clowns like the black shirt getting in the middle of it.
This guy showed himself to be a jerk, calling the protesters white trash. They were only standing up for what they believe in, just as the opposite side was allowed to do in Santa Ana.
If he didn’t like what they were saying, all he had to do was ignore it and stay away. Instead he went in for a confrontation. That’s pretty stupid.
oh so in your small world sara if you want to protect the country form illegals you are a ignoramuses. maybe they cal all come over and stay at your house .. and claudio all your missing is your che t shirt

Actually I was referring to their behavior, not their politics.

iv’e talked to the guy in the white baseball cap before. he claims to have lost his job to illegal aliens. i didnt know the aerospace industry hired illegal aliens. anyway, i think he lost his job because he’s obviously pretty twisted when you talk to him. he called me a crackhead and claimed i use drugs and he also called these two girls who were out there last year “whores”. he’s quite the “man”. i wonder if he’s still out of work i’m gonna have to ask him next time i see him. i cant stand lazy white folk who refuse to work.
Nice show. Except for Claudio (dark shirt) and Lupe (red top and blue hat) who are Santa Ana residents, the rest came from some place else.
Hatred fueled by fear.
Have you ever noticed that white people have signs begging for money next to busy streets. Hispanics are waving Subway sandwiches signs, selling fruit and flowers.
I agree with number 8.
The crazy white people have the same right as hispanic people to wave their flags and signs. Claudio was wrong to instigate trouble with them. Plus to call them white trash is inexcusable even if they were. That’s like a white person calling all the marching hispanics “stupid wet backs” (excuse my language). That’s uncalled for. You should not be celebrating this video, rather showing it as an example that the racism goes both ways.
OOPS
# 10 forgot to add that, of coarse, selling fruit and flowers on the street corner is ILLEGAL.
But please, don’t let that pesky fact spoil your point.
Please explain to me why Claudio can hurl racial slurs and be championed as a hero.
Could that be because the ACTUAL endemic racism is against whites?
That would be a YES. The most vicious and unapologetic racists in this entire immigration debate are the Latinos. MECHA, La Raza, etc. Total, unapologetic racists.
Unfortunately, whites have been too cowed by the brutal onslaugfht of racial accusations to find our balls and fight back. No more. They will expose the endemic racism in the Latino activist movement.
Wow, anonymous commenter #13 really does have a couple of big ones! Way to be proud of your whiteness, posting anonymously!
Before Claudio blurted out his “white trash” comment he was being told to go back to Mexico just because he was Hispanic, and when he protested that he was born here, they called him an “anchor baby.” So what is it, we’re all supposed to be Martin Luther King when people are abusing us?
Nah, turning the other cheek isn’t all of our style.
