Assemblyman Jose Solorio will be hosting an Orange County Public Safety meeting with Paul Seave, the new State Director for Gang and Youth Violence Policy, on Friday, April 4th, 2008 at the Santa Ana Police Department
About Admin
"Admin" is just editors Vern Nelson, Greg Diamond, or Ryan Cantor sharing something that they mostly didn't write themselves, but think you should see. Before December 2010, "Admin" may have been former blog owner Art Pedroza.
Art, are you going to this? I don’t live in the city and I’m not an ethnic minority but I’ve known both poverty and affluence and understand what drives many of us back and forth. I have also lost friends to gun violence and I know the policy in SA needs to reflect a mentality of providing opportunities as well as law enforcement.
I think I might want to come with, but I don’t think I should go without a city resident to accompany me.
“I wonder if Seave knows that the Santa Ana Public Safety Committee, which includes Council Members Claudia Alvarez and Sal Tinajero, as well as David Benavides, is refusing to fund a study to assess the gang problem in Santa Ana? The study has been proposed by the toothless EPIC/GANG Commission. Benavides supports the study, but Clownia and Sal do not. Shame on them!”
I wonder if Santa Ana residents know that money from this “study” would go towards paying gang members from Santa Ana?
You fail to mention that Pedroza. And we all know that once they were to fund this you would attack Sal and Claudia for giving money to gang members.
I for one do not approve of tax dollars being put in the hands of gang members.
Alvarez, Tinajero, and Benevides have nothing to do with the schools. Better to ask what Noji, Richardson, Hernandez, and Palacio will be doing about their armed teachers.
If gang kids had more to do in Santa Ana they would quit gangs in my opinion. They need more jobs and recreation opportunities.

Is this another one of Solorio’s fluffy community gang meetings that features the gang bangers and offers no solutions?

Hahahahaha, my assemblyman is fluffy!
Fluffy Jose! Art, I think we’ve found a new nickname for one of our OC electeds.

What are Alvarez, Tinajero and Benevides going to do about SAUSD teachers armed with pistoles?
