Has Don Cribb realized that the Santa Ana City Council is inept?

A pajarito tipped me to the following editorial letter, from my neighbor Don Cribb, regarding the recent crime wave in Santa Ana. Cribb is infamous for bringing the Artists Village to downtown Santa Ana. I am not sure exactly what he is trying to say in his letter to the O.C. Register. It sounds like he has realized our City Council and City administration is inept. Readers, what do you think?

The ‘bad old days’ return?

Santa Ana returned to a reinforcement of its old self with the story, “Santa Ana police probe 3 homicides” [Local, April 21].

I know well that this letter reinforces its image problem. If anyone knew how difficult it is to advance positive change in Santa Ana, no one would wonder why I am writing. Bad choices seem everywhere and on all levels as Santa Ana struggles to realize itself well enough to be Orange County’s urban centerpiece. If Santa Ana doesn’t make good enough statements about itself and its future, the bad ones will do most of the speaking.
