Dirty O.C. deputies get away with it

Despite the resignation of two Assistant O.C. Sheriffs, “Sheriff’s officials will not face criminal charges in the highly scrutinized death of jailhouse inmate John Chamberlain but will face further discipline for their negligence, Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas said today,” according to the O.C. Register.

Here are a few excerpts from the Register’s article:

The nine-month grand jury probe did not glean criminal evidence against sheriff’s personnel that would stand up in court, Rackauckas said in a press conference Friday.
