Good news at last for the students and neighbors of Golden West College. The L.A. Times has reported that “The president of Golden West College in Huntington Beach has spoken out against construction of a Costco store on 14 acres of the community college’s campus.”
“In a statement released Thursday, President Wes Bryan said the store should not be built because it would increase traffic and adversely impact local residents. Bryan said he would recommend rejection of the plan to the Coast Community College District Board of Trustees, which will meet to discuss it Wednesday.”
