Busted! As revealed here at the Orange Juice, Santa Ana Mayoral candidate Thomas Gordon took the Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce to task at a recent candidate’s forum for scheduling an upcoming event in Irvine instead of in Santa Ana. The chamber claims that there are no facilities that can handle their event, in Santa Ana. Really? It sounds like they didn’t try very hard to find one. OC Register reporter Amy Taxin wrote about this in today’s paper, as follows:

There’s no place at home
Citing a lack of space in Santa Ana, the city Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual economic summit in Irvine.

Interesting. So the Chamber has to go outside the city to have a big fancy event. Why can’t they go to Mike Harrah and use of the many places he has bought and renovated in Santa Ana?
As the Mayor, Pulido should be moving his a$$ to get those business dollars spent in the city. That way he can brag that he is getting stuff down rather than complain that the state and feds don’t bring any money back into Santa Ana.
By the way, Mr. Mayor, your lobbyists are the best I have seen in bringing back state and fed money to Santa Ana. Methinks thou protests too much.
Doesn’t the city provide a good chunk of funding for the chamber? Should one of the conditions of this public funding be that the chamber hold all of their major events within SA?
OK Tommy Gordon..you and your wife win the contest for most Anon postings on O.J. Too bad that’s not what gets you elected:) It will be back to video games and watching council meeting re-runs on T.V. in a few short weeks for you.
