O.C. First District Supervisor Janet Nguyen got together with former Santa Ana Councilman John Acosta (pictured above, at left) and his friends at Ralph and Joyce Allen’s house last Thursday. Nguyen is enjoying broad support from Santa Ana’s business community.
I missed the fundraising event, but I understand it was well-attended by a very diverse crowd.
That endorsement and a buck fifty will get you a cup of joe at Starbucks!
Was Ralph Allen giving away free signed copies of his classic book, “Concrete Spirit”???
This looks like a diverse group to me in the posted picture. Hispanic, African American & Asian.
“That endorsement and a buck fifty will get you a cup of joe at Starbucks!”
Actually, the endorsement and a buck fifty no longer gets you anything at Starbucks since they keep jacking up their prices. But it will go a long way into helping re-elect Janet as Supervisor — and that’s waaaaaaayyyyyyy more important than some damn cup of coffee.
Dear Anon: #2, My understanding is that Ralph Allen is going to pay to have his book “Concrete Spirit” made into a movie. Should be a real blockbuster!

I find your post most revealing and left wondering … why would anyone advertise their stupidty in such a public manner?
