THE PLATTERS – THE GREAT PRETENDER
Well, from pratfalls to circus folly in one morning. Just this morning I reported on Nancy Killefer withdrawing her nomination as “Performance Czar”. Seems she didnt perform too well when it came to paying for those housekeepers.
Now the other proverbial shoe has dropped the same day. I wondered how bored I was going to be for the next few months before the glare from the light of the holy messiah faded from the publics eyes. Maybe they will rub them a little sooner than I thought.
Daschle withdraws nomination to be secretary of Health and Human Services
Tom Daschle has withdrawn his nomination to be secretary of Health and Human Services. Daschle faced questions over his late payment of more than $128,000 in income taxes.
Oh, and was it that press with the notorious liberal bias that dug up the dirt on Daschle’s ties to the healthcare industry?
Given his nomination to be the “healthcare czar”, it’s THAT aspect of Daschle’s past that is FAR more troubling than the tax issue.
Can anyone say “conflict of interest”?
Adding to my earlier comment, Daschle has been quoted as saying that a New York Times editorial this morning calling on him to resign greatly influenced his decision to withdraw.
Yeah, you read that right…The New York Times.
Obama has said he “screwed up”. The real Messiah didn’t screw up. So you can drop that ridiculous messiah complex idiocy you’re pedaling.
Seems some people haven’t gotten over the elections yet.
I like this quote from the candidate for Commerce Secretary, a Republican:
“This is not a time for partisanship. This is not a time when we should stand in our ideological corners and shout at each other.”
Terry, you should take these words to heart.
“This is not a time for partisanship. This is not a time when we should stand in our ideological corners and shout at each other.”
And Nancy Pelosi should have taken those words to heart before she excluded Republicans from input on the Stimulous Bill.
