ORIGINAL STORY

Last year, 2025, Trump backed off a lot, on various things, we even made fun of him saying “TACO = Trump Always Chickens Out.” Not just on tariffs, but even when his ICE would invade a town, like LA, Chicago, Portland, and they fought back, he would back off. TACO we said, prematurely.

Oh, he’s still backing off on lots of things that he was all-in on the day before, but NOT HIS ICE ATTACKS ON THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. You’d think after the killing of Renee Good, this would be a time he’d back off, things went too far. Pero no, he’s doubling, quintupling down on the violence and fascism. 3000 more ICE agents have been sent to the Twin Cities, they’re shooting MORE immigrants and Americans, any day now someone else is gonna get killed, and he’s just itching to try out this INSURRECTION ACT, starting in Minnesota and then on the rest of us.

I suspect this “damn the Constitution full speed ahead” energy is coming from Stephen Miller, who never relents on his destruction. This always-hateful ghoul is now running both foreign policy and the repression at home, freeing up the senile orange figurehead for more decorating and tweeting. But it doesn’t matter, we’ll still say “Trump” as shorthand for the whole shitshow Trump engendered. As in, “Try as he might, Trump can’t kill us all.”

Still, this is a local, Orange County blog, so after a song for Renee Good, let’s move on to what happened here in Santa Ana Friday night.

Within hours of Renee’s killing last Wednesday, the entire nation rose up in furious protest – not just over her killing but the way the government immediately spewed out vicious lies about her while her body was still warm, how they made her murderer a hero, how they decided rather than investigate her murder to investigate the victim and her family instead. And here in the OC we had plenty of protests, the biggest and rowdiest being in front of the federal building in downtown Santa Ana.

And around 8:30 (after most of the protesters had gone home) a couple of big Department of Homeland Security goons (dressed like and indistinguishable from ICE or Border Patrol, all basically the same thing), decided they were tired of hearing them chant “Chinga La Migra” and that it was time to grab the two smallest protesters nearby and teach ’em a lesson! Usually these bullies go after women, but in this case the two smallest people happened to be guys, both holding megaphones, both no more than 5’2″ and thin – Skye Jones and Caden Rummler.

So first one thug grabbed Skye and dragged him, kicking and struggling, into the Federal building, where he was held for three nights without being told what his charges were. They kept threatening him that the “marshals were gonna come and get him” whatever that means. Finally they let him out on Monday and charged him with “assaulting, resisting, OR impeding a federal agent.” Yeah, no shit you can see him resisting as he was dragged away to an uncertain fate. That’s a classic – arresting someone for resisting arrest – so circular! Also, he still hasn’t gotten his phone back, no doubt they’re still trying to break into it.

But it gets worse: one other thug was holding an “FN 303 less lethal launcher” handy and loaded with pepper balls, so before he grabbed up Caden he decided to shoot him in the eye with it. From like three feet away. Caden will tell the rest:

“I remember looking at agents covered head to toe in armor and masks to hide their identities.  I watched three of those DHS agents pull my comrade to the building, then I noticed more agents joining in on the action.  Me and my friend (Skye) are both small people – I’m 5’1” and barely 100 lbs, and my friend is of similar size.  These DHS agents grabbed us – the smallest people they could find – to harm, like the bullies they are.  I was scared of what they were gonna do to Skye when they grabbed him, but I didn’t get a chance to see because the next thing I saw was a DHS agent only a few feet away from me, his weapon pointed straight at me.  I heard a bang and suddenly I was on my knees. 

“It hadn’t yet dawned on me what had happened, everything was a blur.  Sounds became muffled, the only thing I could focus on was the ringing and pressure around my skull.  I couldn’t breathe as the agent dragged me to the building.  I was grabbing the front of my collar in an attempt to keep my airways clear. I was mustering all my strength pleading with him, telling him I could not breathe.  This DHS officer did not care.  He kept dragging me until I was in the building where the press couldn’t get a glimpse of what he was doing to me.”   

Here we must correct Caden.  The officer lay him down on the floor right by the window in order to terrorize his friends who could see everything.  (see video below)

“I remember looking at the ground, blood seeping into a giant pool, dark and thick, wider than my head.  I pleaded to him, “Please call an ambulance, there’s so much blood, I’m gonna bleed out!”  The DHS officer never spoke a word, but got on top of me and aggressively cuffed my hands behind my back.  I thought this was the end, I thought I was gonna bleed out on the ground, with the DHS agent holding my head like a trophy.  Finally he picked me up off the floor and shoved me into a chair, and security guards finally called an ambulance.  The ambulance took an eternity to get there, I tried to turn off my mind, and the only thing keeping me conscious was hearing my comrades still chanting outside.  I focused on the voices of my friends and comrades, I believe that’s what kept me alive. 

“Finally they told me the ambulance arrived.  A group of people dragged me outside, as I walked blindly because I could not see.  They told me the ambulance wasn’t ready yet, and made me stand in the cold, with no shoes, covered in blood, in searing pain.  During that time two people were making jokes right in front of me, laughing at the fact that I would never get to see out of my left eye again.  I remember saying “Shame on you for laughing at me never seeing again” and they fell silent…”

GESTAPO SAYS WHAT?!?

So what do the DHS Pigs have to say about this, why did they grab and drag Skye and Caden out of the crowd of protesters, and more than that, why did they shoot a rubber bullet into Caden’s eye point blank? We all know that, just like the rest of the Trump Administration, the Department of Homeland Security are pathological liars, but still – what do they say? This had better be pretty good, they blinded a 21-year old for life.

Well, doesn’t look like they tried too hard. After their predictable BS that “Two officers were injured,” (yeah, just like how the Fullerton cops scraped their knuckles on Kelly Thomas or Renee Good’s killer Jonathan Ross had “internal bleeding”) they pulled THIS out of their ass:

“A mob of about 60 rioters threw rocks, bottles and fireworks at Law Enforcement Officers outside the Federal Building in Santa Ana. This was a highly coordinated campaign of violence where rioters wielded shields.”

Nobody who was there saw any rocks, bottles or fireworks thrown. There’s no video of it. Santa Ana police who were observing confirms that they did not see rocks, bottles or fireworks thrown. There were not rocks, bottles or fireworks left to be cleaned up afterward at the Federal Building. And “rioters wielded shields?” What fucking movie were DHS pigs watching? What movie were they watching before they ventured outside and decided to WALK CALMLY OVER to the protesters and shoot (at least two we learn now) right in the eyes with pepper balls?
