OK, just saw this mashup, and it’s da bomb:

Thanks to Frank Herbert, the Bene Gesserit for their “Litany Against Fear,” and whatever unknown artist came up with this wash-up mash-up.
This is your Weekend Open Thread. Talk about that and anything else you wish, within reasonably bounds of courtesy and cleanliness.
About Greg Diamond
Somewhat verbose attorney, semi-disabled and semi-retired, residing in northwest Brea. Occasionally ran for office against jerks who otherwise would have gonr unopposed. Got 45% of the vote against Bob Huff for State Senate in 2012; Josh Newman then won the seat in 2016. In 2014 became the first attorney to challenge OCDA Tony Rackauckas since 2002; Todd Spitzer then won that seat in 2018. Every time he's run against some rotten incumbent, the *next* person to challenge them wins! He's OK with that.
Corrupt party hacks hate him. He's OK with that too.
He does advise some local campaigns informally and (so far) without compensation. (If that last bit changes, he will declare the interest.)
His daughter is a professional campaign treasurer. He doesn't usually know whom she and her firm represent. Whether they do so never influences his endorsements or coverage. (He does have his own strong opinions.) But when he does check campaign finance forms, he is often happily surprised to learn that good candidates he respects often DO hire her firm. (Maybe bad ones are scared off by his relationship with her, but they needn't be.)
It’s interesting and funny, how COSTCO’s are running out of toilet paper, water, and hand sanitizer – even folks brawling with eachother to get to it – yet in my neighborhood there’s plenty of all that stuff to be had, at Stater Brothers, Vons, the 99 cent store, Walmart.
It looks like there’s three sorts of people – those who trust everything that comes out of Trump’s mouth and refuse on principle to worry about CoVid-19; the liberal bourgeoisie who generally tend to live in fear of lots of stuff, listen to NPR and CNN, have Costco memberships, and if Trump says it’s not dangerous they get terrified and run off to stockpile … and us regular working class folks who just go about our lives.
Well, to those liberals I say, as the song goes, “come out and find some camaraderie.”
*Yeah, don’t go to Costco or Walmart or Target. You will probably try and buy out everything we need…..like CQ10 and Chinese Vitamin C.
How can the notion of “Qualified Immunity” make any sense in this country?
Orange County’s own Katie Porter makes optimum use of her unique badgering talent to ensure that we ALL get free corona-virus testing regardless of insurance!
Trump socializes medicine!
“FREE” the corona virus test will be provided, “FREE”. Announces the Drumpf.
Sounds like “socialized medicine” and also that horrifying, terrible end of the world concept of, “free stuff” the right wingers are ALWAYS warning everyone about.
WOW! “It’s” Happening! Oh. My. God. RUN! RUN! RUN to the underground bunker!
Donald Trump has just announced SOCIALIZED MEDICINE and the scariest two words to any TRUE conservative American, “FREE STUFF”!!!!!!!!! RUN!!!!!!!
Remember “free” isn’t “free” someone always pays! Your taxes are being stolen! Communism! Buzz word! Dog whistle! Cuba! Venezuela!
Great graphic, Greg. Good post.
It’s not forgotten.
OH THE IRONY of Gracey Van der Mark (self appointed sheriff of the butt police) posting anger about her 76 year old mom being allegedly shoved at the grocery store by her own neighbors.
Imagine an elderly person trying to peacefully attend a meeting in Santa Monica and Gracey (a total stranger) shows up with two other male white supremacists to shove them while shouting their way into the gathering. After carpooling from Orange County the trio of aggressive bullies attack. Using force and yelling to intimidate and harass these older folks (who responded admirably and with dignity when they must have been so terrified and confused) in front of children and others present.
Then her entertainment and fun scaring “elderly Jews and colored people” a success Gracey travels the long, tedious drive home on the always congested freeway system. Van der Mark is so proud of her day’s actions she decides to harass her senior citizen victims further by posting anti Semitic and bigoted remarks mocking them online.
And that is why people have boycotted her imaginary and secret “small business”!
It’s a really, really small business. Like, no one has ever actually seen it. That small.
To be fair, it is actually very easy, nearly unavoidable, to boycott such a tiny, invisible business.
