Have a Taste of “A Taste of Santa Ana,” Starring Rita Hayworth

Rita Hayworth in Gilda

Rita Hayworth, good art, and good food too! (Note: Rita Hayworth is deceased.)

Now that the RNC and the DNC are done with all their “feel good” cheerleading, whats a girl gonna do for entertainment? The fall shows don’t really start until next week. Did I say fall shows? I meant the new nightly line up of boring, scripted “reality” shows.

When is the last time you went out and  took your honey  to enjoy some local culture and entertainment? The  Artists Village in Santa Ana are having a Gallery Hop this weekend.  You can enjoy a great meal at one of the many fine local restaurants, browse through 40 art galleries, and watch a free  Film Fiesta screening of the Rita Hayworth classic “Gilda” (1946), at the Cine Santora!  And you might just find a piece of art that will look great over your mantle.

It’s organized by United Artists of Santa Ana (UASA) in partnership with OC Film Fiesta.    You get all this great entertainment for a mere $10 donation that  benefits the UASA. Tickets are available online at: www.ocfilmfiesta.com and http://tasteofsantaana.brownpapertickets.com.

Here’s the line up of scheduled events:

SAT 9/8 @ 3:30pm – RITA HAYWORTH TRIBUTE & FASHION SHOW @ The CINE SANTORA – 211 N. Broadway, Santa Ana, CA 92701

SAT 9/8 @ 6pm – A TASTE OF SANTA ANA culinary ART fundraiser @ The CINE SANTORA – 211 N. Broadway, Santa Ana, CA 92701
