You can talk to my lawyer.
In a follow-up post today The Voice of OC(EA) Norberto Santana describes the (lack of) investigation by our do-nothing DA Tony Rackauckas into the evident illegal lobbying of fellow repuglican Dick Ackerman. Of course the DA could find no wrondoing. Not looking for evidence is an excellent way of not finding any.
Now that Ackerman’s actual invoices have surfaced, revealing what we have know for over a year, and what was based on the Dickster’s own words, the DA seems to be a little nervous. Here’s what his spokesholess Susan Kang Schroeder had to say:
“The evidence we had supports the findings we made,” she said. “If anyone has further evidence that is contrary to the evidence we have, we’ll be glad to look at it. And it may bring us to a different result.”

That statement of S-Kang was from a month ago as I remember. Also as I remember, when they found out there was new evidence they asked Norberto to give it to them, and he told her “Screw you guys, you can read it all on my blog.” But he used stronger language. It’s all public now.
And the DA knows that when the AG gets a copy of the ANNOTATED VERSION OF HIS WHITEWASH, there could be consequences for the DA.
More like “Damn, they caught us again covering up for one of our friends – now what do we do?”
Spitzer 2014 (or sooner).
I think Susan Kang-Schroeder was misquoted.
What she really said was, “If anyone has further evidence that is contrary to the evidence we have, we’ll be glad to look at it. And we may have to change the report to find different excuses for exonerating our political allies.”
This entire deal is corrupt. It absolutely sickens me to believe that this is what our District Attorney’s office has become. There is now way to much attention for it to be once again swept under the rug.Call the Feds, stop this nonsense NOW ! Governor Brown please help the people fight for justice when those with the responsibility and the sworn oath to do so wont.
