Yunus Aksoy announces campaign for Irvine City Council

Yunus AKSOY, 37, a young visionary community leader and an entrepreneur, has announced his candidacy for a seat in the Irvine City Council. The Aksoy for Irvine campaign will start the official campaign kick off at the Orange County Great Park -Anatolian Cultures and Food Festival on May 6th 2010. Yunus AKSOY and a group of supporters will be out talking to the community. He says “We’re going to run an extremely energetic and principled campaign, and I want to show every voter how hard I’m willing to work for their interests.”

Having worked with various non-profit organizations and community groups as well as the city government, Yunus AKSOY believes that being involved can make a real difference in people’s lives. He is running for city council to give back to the community. He wants to help keep Irvine the great place to live that it is.

Yunus AKSOY is committed to move beyond the partisan gridlock to focus on cost-effective solutions. He says “I am committed to do all I can to build consensus, harmony and a positive spirit in our City and within the City Council.”

A key element of Yunus AKSOY’s platform is education. He places great emphasis on having great schools which not only benefit Irvine’s youngest citizens but also help property values appreciate.

“This is the city where my wife and I are raising our family, where our children will go to school and grow up to be future leaders of this great country,” he says.

Yunus Aksoy earned his Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the California State University of Long Beach.
