Would ANY Orange County legislator be stupid enough to support Republican Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Propositions 1A-1F? Well, the answer is yes. A pajarito reported that one of Assemblyman Jose Solorio’s staffers called her before the recent California Democrat Party convention to tell her that Solorio is supporting Propositions 1A – 1F – and then the staffer asked my pajarito to vote to endorse these awful measures.
Solorio probably thought his party was going to endorse these measures. Oos! They did not. Boy does Solorio look like an idiot now… The latest polls indicate that NONE of these measures are going to pass, although Measure 1F may squeak through.

Assemblyman Solorio told me that he was worried about school budget shortage crisis . Let my friend assemblyman vote to support schools.

I am sure he is. In fact his wife is a teacher so they have good reason to be concerned.
However, these propositions are B.S. And they are going to lose. The legislators need to cut the crap out of our state budget.
Recently Assembly Speaker Karen Bass got caught handing out raises to Assembly staff – and had to rescind them right away. These folks just don’t know how to manage money…
Art, during the tough times poor get hurt more and I think Assemblyman is mainly trying to protect pink slipped young teachers and over crowded class rooms. He is a good public servant.

It really bothers me that Solorio is so weak and does not stand up to Miguel Pulido. Solorio last year supported Mark McLoughlin instead of supporting Lynette Verino, for the Rancho Santiago College Board. And Solorio supported Republicans Carlos Bustamante for the SA City Council and Rob Richardson for the SAUSD school board.
Solorio also got busted for writing a letter to Pulido asking him to shut down a Vietnamese art exhibit. That is awful and not something that any Democrat should ever be involved in.
We need to hold Solorio accountable for his actions!
Assemblyman was more worried about public safety issue when he wrote a letter to shut down art exhibit. As far as other political concerns in the city and the school board climate I would have to ask him in the future personally.
