“Former Orange County Sheriff Mike Carona should be sentenced to 78 months in prison for his witness tampering conviction, according to the federal probation office,” according to the O.C. Register.
Remember how much Carona celebrated when only one of his charges stuck? Well Mikey, good luck in the slammer! Six and a half years ought to do the trick.
I fully expect Carona to pull a “Cape Fear” and come out of the hole in six and a half years covered in tattoos and looking to wreak vengeance on his former pal and Assistant Sheriff George Jaramillo.
How embarrassing for Matt “Jerbal” Cunningham, who recently got declawed at his blog, Red Clownty. He pimped for Carona for years and now his hero is headed for the pokey.
Maybe Jerbal can start a “Carona Amigos” website to complement his “Urell Amigos” website?
This should hang on the heads of all the Republicans – and Democrats – who backed Carona in his last election. I am talking about folks like crazy Congressman Dana Rohrabacher, who begged the OC GOP Central Committee to endorse Carona; DPOC Chair Frank Barbaro; the Orange County Supervisors, particularly John Moorlach and Bill Campbell; and even Supervisor Janet Nguyen’s assistant, Matt Harper. Shame on the lot of you!
Right on Art!!! At the same time major kudos has to be given to our own Tim Whitacre who took lead on standing up to the machine and in return received a ton of flack and personal attacks through Jerbal’s site and others from Carona attack dogs. He was proven right all along and has to be feeling a bit vindicated about this. I beleive the candidate he was backing, Lt. Bill Hunt, still has a lawsuit pending against the county for politcal retribution and wrongful termination. The Board of Stupidvisors should do the right thing and settle that case at a fair sum for what that guy went through as well. After all he paid the highest price for having the guts to expose Carona’s corruption from within the department. I’d like to see you start hounding the Stupidvisors about that one.

It would be news if the partisan hacks at Red County weren’t closing ranks around one of their own, especially a big spender like Harkey who enriches the consultant class.
The only reason that The DPOC has launched the volley against John Campbell is because Melafat is now running The Beth Krom Campaign. She i gting hal of her salry paid for by the DPOC. An for this the DPOC will fund half of Beth Kroms campaign by paying Melafat forpart time work to do campaign work out of the DPOC office under the title of Executive Director when all the time se is a full time Beth Krom employee.

Mea Culpa. I mant to post thi on a diffeent post. The Dem Chair Frank Barbaro sending out that faux outrage email about John Campbell taking mone from the Hakeys was simpl Melahat putting her hand up Frank Barbaros butt and making him speak Like a meat pupet.
Melafat is going to be running the Beth Krom campaign against John Campbell. She is going o be workin hal tie for the DPOC to stay on the paroll there. The DPOC will fund half of Melafats salary for the Beth Krom campaign. Melafat is going to be working full time on Beth Kroms campaign and the dpoc will fund half her salary for it. The DPOC will get no benefi although will pay for Beths campaign staffer Melahat.

Too bad Jon Fleischman and the others closely associated to Carona in the Republican Party, didn’t crash & burn with him. Maybe they will. Hopefully they will. It would sure be a great cleansing for the local Party and would send a strong message to other water carriers elsewhere.
