Carlos Bustamante lies again – so much for the Code of Ethics

What can you say about a politician who is apparently so lazy and so dishonest that he doesn’t bother to update the endorsements on his campaign website?  One of my supporters emailed me today to inform me that my opponent, Santa Ana Councilman Carlos Bustamante, is listing endorsements on his campaign website that he doesn’t have!

I took a look for myself (see graphic above) and sure enough he is listing the support of many folks who are in fact supporting me for the City Council.  Even worse, he included the Orange County Lincoln Club on the list of his supposed supporters.  I called the Lincoln Club today and reported this.  They were NOT pleased.

I also emailed Bustamante’s consultant, Dennis De Snoo.  I asked him to ensure that Bustamante takes down these endorsements.  His response?  “If this is a precursor to legal action please send me a letter.”  Lame!  Do we have to sue Bustamante to get him to do the right thing and STOP lying on his campaign website?

Didn’t Bustamante support the Santa Ana “Code of Ethics?”  You know, the one he violated when he LIED about making the infamous “Waterbra” remarks after Sandra Hutchens was appointed Sheriff?  Here he is lying again.  I hope the voters will take note.
