The Delhi Center is another one of convicted felon and former S.A. councilman Ted Moreno’s follys. Let’s see…spend multi- milliion’s on a social services center in the very most remote South/East corner of the city and then flip the keys to woman who couldn’t even run the dumb thing when it was a Quonset Hut!! Lot’s of fanfare and Si Se Puede ribbon cuttings but the Delhi Center is one of he biggest boondoggles in Santa Ana History. If you wonder why the El Salvador and Memorial centers look like dumps you can blame Ted Moreno and Irene Martinez!!!

Delhi is the name of a SAnta Ana Hispanic neighborhood with a long history.
It originated as a Hispanic neighborhood because Santa Ana at that time restricted real state sales to Hispanics to Delhi and Logan.
Gangs are in the neighborhoods such as Delhi but dot not have the neighborhood name.
Ted Moreno and Irene do not run the center. Ted has no current connection nor does Irene.
I believe the the center’s managers are and were salaried by the city.
I was told the managers don’t make the rules and decisions of how the center operates. City government does.
Redicule them.
The local residents say they feel they are discouraged to use to use the center.
For example, the community center is more expensive to use for gattherings than the Double Tree Hotel.
Is that a sensible operational decision for a community center?
Is their an agenda to discourage it’s use?
