Former acting O.C. Sheriff Jo Ann Galisky, and Assistant Sheriff Steve Bishop, who heads up investigations, have both suddenly resigned in the wake of the filing of a Grand Jury report into the death of an inmate at the county Theo Lacy jail, according to the O.C. Register.
“John Moorlach, chairman of the county board of supervisors, said late Friday that the departure of Galisky and Bishop were tied to “decisions” made in the department’s investigation of the Chamberlain killing.”
When Jo Ann Galisky took over for disgraced O.C. Sheriff Mike Carona, while he was on his bogus leave, I wrote a post entitled “Don’t trust Jo Ann Galisky.” I based it on an article by the O.C. Weekly’s legendary R. Scott Moxley, entitled “She’s the (Under) Sheriff.”
Moxley finished that article with this line, “Now that blemish-free federal prosecutors, FBI agents and a federal grand jury have finally joined me in declaring Carona a crook, here
Mr. Moorlach should keep his mouth shut as his comments provide more canon fodder for the attorneys lining up to sue the county over jail matters. They are not at all helpful.
I didn’t know Galinsky was a lesbian.
Good for Jack Anderson–he is cleaning house.!!!!Time for Corona cronies to go !!
Instead of screaming “I told you so!”, let’s support progressive reforms in the O.C. Sheriffs Department and hope that these departures will allow the department to get past this ugly chapter in it’s history.

We often read about the “Blue Code of Silence” as it relates to police officers around the country.
Sadly an inmate in a county jail was killed when he was in custody of the OCSD. Acting Sheriff Jack Anderson took “corrective action” and we now need to move on.
Let’s acknowledge this action as we weigh the qualifications and integrity of Jack to become our permanent Sheriff.
yet another reason not to vote Hillary
