When New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson pulled out of the presidential race he emailed his supporters and asked for donations to help settle his campaign debt. I emailed him back and said I would be happy to do so, once he endorsed Senator Barack Obama. He never did – until now. I guess I will have to send some money Richardson’s way.
I am thrilled that Richardson has decided to toss Hillary Clinton to the dogs. He has made the right choice. Richardson, a Latino, no doubt is disgusted with the racism we have seen come out of Hillary’s camp.
Even better, Richardson’s comments mirrored those coming out of Obama’s camp, “It is time . . . for Democrats to stop fighting amongst ourselves and prepare for the tough fight we will have against John McCain in the fall,” as reported in the LA Times.
Hillary had her shot. This was over when she failed to take a huge lead on Super Tuesday. Now she needs to do her party a favor and GO AWAY!
*This was a shocker…actually. We
thought that Ricardson was going
to be Hillary’s choice for VP.
Maybe he was…but now Hillary
knows the die has been cast….and
she may have wanted Richardson to
be Obama’s pick for VP! This will
be fun to watch. All of a sudden,
Richardson is talking straight and
not like a Hillary clone….Hmmm..
intersesting!
In one of my recent posts I made the observation that Barack Obama reminds people more of Bill Clinton in 1991 than his own wife Hillary does, so I can’t say this story is a shocker, but I *can* say that Bill Richardson would make a great VP and even you Republican folk have to admit it!
Are any of you really going to give your heart and soul to getting John McCain elected this fall? I doubt it and I hope not! I for one will not be bending over backwards for the Dems if Obama gets the nod and I’ve always been an activist, so I certainly can’t imagine John McCain having a particularly exciting grassroots campaign or an infusion of new energy anytime soon.
Does the baby-boom generation want to vote for their father? Do the younger generations want to vote for their grandfather? Does the man inspire others to want to walk door-to-door for countless hours in the hot summer sun or make thousands of phone calls for him? I’m thinking not, but time will tell.

Nice post about Richardson, but did you all catch what Mark Penn and then James Carville had to say? I blogged about it on my site.
It looks like Team Clinton feels crushed by this endorsement.
Bill Richardson’s a great guy but even Bill gets it wrong sometimes. Just ask Melissa Etheridge.

Time and again Obama has had his chance to seal the deal and he has failed.
Perhaps Obama should do the party a favor and go away.
Add another homophobe to the list of Obama supporters.

Kudos to Carville for his bluntness. He has not waiverd or cowered to the politically correct folks. Richardson, like all politicians, is looking out for himself. He’s riding Obama’s crest because he still has designs on 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
The more you learn about Barack Hussein Obama, the more inside the Washington Beltway he is.
So what’s the change he keeps peddling?
