Congratulations to Thomas Gordon, our blogger who ran for Mayor of Santa Ana in 2006. He is now running for the OC GOP Central Committee (see the graphic above), in the 69th Assembly District. There are quite a few candidates in the mix, including:
- Lupe Moreno, the infamous Minuteman who was recruited by Whitacre to run again for the OC GOP Central Committee. A side note – she is listed as a Library Commissioner, which is true. Pulido placed her on that Santa Ana city commission.
- Oscar Garza, who ran for the Santa Ana School Board, unsuccessfully, a few years ago. Garza, like Moreno, is allied with Whitacre.
- Brett Franklin, the former Santa Ana Councilman who has been unable to win any races since he got termed out, except for the OC GOP Central Committee. Franklin is also allied with Whitacre.
- Molly Doughty, a well-known Santa Ana Realtor who is NOT allied with Whitacre.
- Cuong Sinh Cao, an unknown candidate who is likely a Trannie recruited by Whitacre.
- And Monica Banken, who works for Supervisor Janet Nguyen.
Several other candidates did not complete their filings, including James Vanderbilt, a school board member in Anaheim and Cam Mangels, who is also running for the 69th Assembly District.
Hopefully voters in the 69th Assembly District will reject Whitacre and his allies. Wouldn’t that be something if Gordon gets more votes than Whitacre? Let’s hope he does.
If Gordon, Douhty and Banken win, and if some of Whitacre’s allies lose, things could get interesting in the 69th Assembly District. Recently Whitacre and his goons voted not to endorse incumbent Supervisor Janet Nguyen. Getting rid of some of Whitacre’s hacks will go a long ways towards restoring the credibility of the OC GOP in central Orange County.
Congrats Thomas!
It was nice talking with you yesterday. I hope us younger Santa Ana(OC) GOPs can clean up the city.
Juice readers.
Although I do not live in the District I strongly urge those who do to vote for him.
It’s an honor to give Thomas my endorsement. Larry Gilbert
Didn’t he “Gordon” got fired from EPI Commission?
Mr. Gordon will do a fine job when elected. Good luck Thomas!!!
Good luck Thomas.
The current Republican party sucks.
I’m glad to see bloggers like Mr. Gordon getting involve, I wonder if he could let us know where he stands on Immigration, gay marriage, and abortion??
Proud to give Thomas my vote! He is a good man!
I always vote for Latinos and women but I’ll also vote for Gordon this time around. Go Lupe, Oscar, Monica, Molly, and Thomas!!!! Si Se Puede!
