Assemblyman Van Tran sent out another hilarious press release yesterday. This time he bragged that he was donating his raise to a bunch of charities. Here is an excerpt:
Assemblyman Tran presented the after tax portion of his pay increase to various local charities. The following non-profit organizations received checks ranging from $250 to $500: Acacia Adult Day Care Center
I think it’s quite kind of Mr. Tran to donate his pay to charity. I wish more elected officials would follow his lead. Three chears for Mr. Tran! “For he’s a jolly good fellow……”
Tell you the truth, I have not seen Art helping charities and he should be proud of Assemblyman Van Tran for helping out these organizations.
Since you are so concerned about the economic health of the state perhaps you should contact Janet Nguyen and let her know that you oppose her $2.5 million “bridge for votes”.
sean, for a planning commissioner you sure are clueless about issues such as this. janet proposed to build the bridge with state bond proceeds from the 1b bond passed by the voters and even if the project does not proceed there will be no positive upside to the state budget crisis caused by democrats like your fat pal sal tinajero. now run along boy and ask fat sal what you should say next.
#4, yes because of your kind of wasteful mentality, we are in deep “billions of dollars” state financial trouble.
Let me see your credit card late payment fee statements or the return check fee statements from “Banco Popular”
You need to cut down on weekly excessive Corona beer expenses right now.
When did charity = pork? Only in Republican circles, like pre-2006 Congress.
Sean,
You have NO room to talk on this one. Here is what I read in this week’s OC Weekly: “On Jan. 7, the Santa Ana City Council voted unanimously to spend $60,000 in taxpayer money this year on employee trophies for just one city department.”
Looks like your boy Sal has been blowing money like a drunken sailor…
I didn’t know that Santa Ana was in Assemblyman Tran’s district. Isn’t there three CRA’s in his district that he could have given money to? In fact there are two in Garden Grove, yet he gave money to the one in Santa Ana. Strange. But hey I’m all for giving to charity.
