Spare us, Art. You raised the subject of Sup. Norby’s personal life when you had no business doing so, and floated a lot of sketchy rumors about him which were obviously untrue. Maybe next time you will call someone before blogging that they were drunk in public or living in their office.
I spoke with Chris yesterday and today, as well. He said many of the same things to me, but he also didn’t waive it off as a non-issue as you imply or say it wasn’t Janet’s fault.
Well this is a far cry from an apology but it is growth for you Art. Good to see you do a little brown nosing to cover your butt!

I don’t know why Chris did not tell you that it wasn’t Janet’s fault. But that is EXACTLY what he told me. And he agreed that this was more Mauk’s issue than hers. If you don’t like his answers, take it up with him.

As a matter of fact Art, if the shoe was on the other foot, the LAST thing Matt would have done would have been to CREATE unsubstantiated rumors about Janet WITHOUT asking her first about them. How do I know this? Because Matt has a TRACK RECORD of GOOD JOURNALISM, which includes checking his sources and presenting the other side of the story, even when he disagrees with it. On the other hand you have a track record of the OPPOSITE, which is to create/spread rumors without checking the source OR the other side of the story.
Now, the molestation incident has NOTHING to do with this, BUT the matter of fact is that Matt APOLOGIZED for his mistake which is MUCH more than you are EVER willing to do when you create rumors, spin the truth, and flat out lie to justify your point. Face it Art! You have NO journalistic standards. YOUR END ALWAYS JUSTIFY YOUR MEANS.

Actually, it should read “necesita” not “necessitas.” And the “l” in “Latino” should be capitalized.
I don’t know where you get that I am a false Latino. My parents both came to this country from Mexico. I grew up speaking only Spanish and had to learn English in school.
As for wanting attention, to be honest with you I wish I could walk away from all this. But I feel a responsibility to keep the Orange Juice going. Unlike you Red County GOP hacks, we are trying to foster positive social change. You guys just seem to be on a mission to stuff your wallets and hire your friends.

“Story”? Art, that wasn’t a story. You’re post was more like high schoolers passing notes in class.
As I explained to my readers, I made a mistake. My intent was not to publish those names. And the minute it was brought to my attention, I fixed it and apologized.
You purposely posted salacious, personally injurious rumors of which you had no evidence or substantiation, with the clear intent of retaliating against Norby for calling attention to Janet’s tapping the HCA budget for her office. Still no apology or admission that you screwed up, and highly unlikely we’ll ever see as much.

A few weeks ago Red County change the format/look of their site and I quit reading. It’s a lot harder to find local posts and respond to them now. It’s interesting that Jubal spends a lot more time reading/posting on Orange Juice. The hiding of expenses devoted to support one or all of the Board of Supervisors in another budget is nothing new. The full cost of funding the Board offices is truly hidden that way. Most of the extra cost is buried in the CEO Department budget, but not all. The current maneuver just came into the spotlight, that’s all. Now the public begins to see how it is done thanks to this little disclosure. And, this technique is not limited to County government – most every City Manager knows how to play the game too when it comes to support the City Council. And, why not, these electeds are there at the will of the people, right?
Supervisor Norby was the great educator, was he not? Back to the classroom when term limits kick in!
