UPDATE: While not FDIC insured, Mission Viejo’s $437,000 "out house" is now open for deposits

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: (In the) CITY of MISSION VIEJO
Oct 9, 2007

While the city of Mission Viejo generally has a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by a large sheet cake and soft drinks for residents to celebrate our grand openings this is one project that they have kept under wraps. Although not FDIC insured you are welcome to make deposits in our state of the art $437,000 outhouse complete with facilities for one man and one women. I did check out the mens side earlier today and found that there was no waiting line.My sense is that entering this facility will be “free of charge” although in time it may change to “pay as you go.” That future decision will be based on our general fund balance sheet.

Directions. From Interstate 5 exit El Toro Road and proceed east until you reach the traffic light at Rancho Santa Margarita Parkway. This is about five miles east just before Saddleback Church. Turn right and continue passing Melinda Park on the right. Turn right at Melinda then make an immediate right into the parking lot.

NOTE: As the Juice team provides topics from our individual cities there is another project on the horizon. This will be a $one million dollar dog park. Stay tuned!
