17th Annual "Boo at the Zoo"

The Friends of the Santa Ana Zoo and the Santa Ana Elks Lodge #794 present the 17th Annual “Boo at the Zoo“!

Bring out the whole family for this “merry not scary” festival. There will be trick-or-treat stations, games, live animal encounters and programs, music, and storytelling. Ride the “Boofari” Express train, and see cool creepy crawly critters. Children and adult guests are encouraged to dress in their favorite costumes, and participate in the costume parade.

Scheduled Entertainment includes music by Tio Alecc, The Other Half, When Pigs Fly, and DJ’s from Ibiza West Studios, as well as storytelling from Wanda the Witch, Candace the Enchantress, Pirate Anne, and others, Dr. Sue “the bug lady”, and special appearances by the Zoo’s monkey mascot, Sazoo! There will also be a separate “Teen Scream” haunted house area for the older kids. The Santa Ana Zoo is one of the safest and most fun places to trick-or-treat in Orange County for children of all ages.

This 5 night event will be held Saturday-October 20th, Sunday-October 21st, Friday-October 26th, Saturday-October 27th, and Sunday-October 28th, from 5:30pm-8:00pm. Tickets for this event will be available online, starting October 1st. Admission is $10 per person ages 2 & up, and half-price for Zoo Members. (Members can buy tickets for your whole group)

The Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park is located at 1801 E. Chestnut, and is open daily from 10:00am-4:00pm. Maps, general admission information, and special event ticket information are available on the Zoo’s website. If you would like to become a member of the Zoo, please call (714) 953-8555 x13.
