Just read about this in the Register…
Volunteers are needed for the Planned Parenthood WIC (Women, Infants, Children) “Go Bananas for Books” literacy program running through December.
The volunteers will:
- Read to children and help with nutrition-related art projects.
- Work for at least two hours a week.
A reimbursement incentive of $1,000 is available after completing eight hours a week until the program concludes. Mileage and bus fees will also be paid for. Volunteers must complete an application, personal interview, orientation and go through a background check.

UPDATE:
I am told that this program really needs more Spanish speaking volunteers. So be sure to call and volunteer!
Considering that the assembly session ends friday, jose can show up and read all day on saturday.
who wants to bet he will be busy shaking down unions for money instead?
Bitter Republican,
He will be at Santa Ana College helping immigrants to become citizens of this great nation. So instead of making your conservative kool aid drinking comments, find out the fact first. Oh I keep forgetting, Conservatives feel facts have a liberal bias.
