As someone who is a classic car and hot rod buff we have visited a showroom in Pleasantown CA to see some of these vehicles. That showroom is located roughly 400 miles north of O.C. near where the 580 and 680 freeways merge.
Late this afternoon I happened to stop at a relatively similar showroom right in my own back yard. Lake Forest Automotive opened their facility eight weeks ago. They are located just down the street from the former Lake Forest City Hall. The showroom is open Mon through Sat from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Their address is 23222 Lake Center Drive which is off Rockfield just south of Lake Forest Road and north of El Toro Road (east of Interstate 5.)
No,this is not a press release for which I am getting any compensation or future purchase discount. Nor is the City of Lake Forest aware of this post.
As a car buff I could not believe the number of very sharp cars in their inventory that includes a 1937 & 1955 Packard, an Auburn, Corvette, 1949 Plymouth and 1967 El Camino just to name a few of my favorites that come to mind.
No, I really do not have any interest in their Rolls Royce but they do have one. I was told that all of their vehicles are on consignment.
Pack your wife or fiancee in your car and stop by before Father’s Day.
Hey, admission is free and the showroom sparkles.
Well, now, if Larry’s post got your juices flowing, you’ll be positively hyperventilating when you hear about he 25th Anniversary Great Race, which finishes it’s cross-country competition in Anaheim on July 14th. Santa Ana resident and five time champion Wayne Stanfield, now Chief Operating Officer of the Great Race, and his team put on quite a show. This year there will be the usual array of classic cars plus many hot rods, too. Go to their web site at http://www.greatrace.com to check it out. This year’s event is a super warm-up for next year’s round the world event, which celebrates the 100th anniversary of the original New York to Paris race.
Excellent tip. Thank you!
