What about French?
Leave it in English only. The Pulitizer level writings and postings here will incentivize more folks to learn English that way, right?
Art,
I think that is the only cool thing you’ve ever done.
Here are some other cool links:
Too bad there isn’t a Vietnamese version and we could show Art another version of how much Janet hates Mexicans.
I vote for Italian. In my humble opinion Italian is the most beautiful language. Ahh, to be in Rome right now. Great food, great wine, beauty everywhere.
But English is still the best because we have more words than any other language.
I’m getting a screen of frogs wtih a message that hotlinking has been disabled and then plugging free image hosting at Image Shack, etc., when I try to access this blog. This started today. It is quite distracting, hopefully you can make it go away (and hopefully it has nothing to do with efforts to translate into Spanish?).
I am No. 6. I found a small “ads by Google” icon at the bottom of this frog page, clicked on it and it leads to an opportunity to have one’s business advertised by Google on “relevant pages”. It appears that either O-juice has signed up for such advertising or ???? Is this a revenue generator for O-juice?
Who did this lousy translation?
Eres buey por haber usado este servicio. Huevon !!!
It is a very bad translation! Doesn’t make any sense.
I vote for swedish, lithuanian and gaelic.
English only. Gimme a break!
It’s me again – 6 and 7. This time no screen of frogs or other advertising. It is sooo nice to not have that clutter. Thanks to whomever has apparently taken care of it.
Poster 9,
The translation is done by Google’s software. Thus it is far from perfect. Remember that there are many idiomatic expressions that do not translate well from English to Spanish.
Also, the Spanish we use in California is far from the original Castillian Spanish.
It would be nice to do customized translations, but I haven’t the time to do so.
Poster 7,
Our blog software belongs to and is hosted by Google. I don’t pay anything for the use of the software and they get to put little ads on the bottom of the page. Works for me.
I use the google option all the time to read La Opnion in English. It goes both ways and in this city, it will be important to marry english and spanish languages to slay the SAUSD dragon.
😉
Thanks, Art. Have seen those ads at the bottom. This one was top, sides and bottom, about an inch of “wallpaper-like” repetition all around. Thank goodness it is gone.
Art. As stated by others I too am getting the wallpaper of frogs before the web home page comes up. It also remains on the sides and bottom as I read the posts and is very troubling.
Happy Easter to all.
Larry Gilbert
Larry,
Frog infestation? Sounds Biblical to me… Don’t know what it could be. I have not had that problem.
Try checking your computer for spyware. Or switch to Mozilla Firefox instead of Internet Explorer.
You can also clear your computer’s cache. If you have Norton software, check and see if it has a clean up option.
Mozilla Firefox? Sounds like someone who would be a performer at a “Gentlemen’s Club” —-
