Daucher still ahead of Correa!

Daucher is still ahead of Correa, in their hotly contested battle for the 34th State Senate District. Here is the latest update from the OC Register:

Republican Lynn Daucher’s lead in her race against Democrat Lou Correa for the state Senate narrowed to 764 votes, according to figures released Saturday by the Orange County Registrar of Voters.

Daucher’s lead had been 833 votes Friday, with 50.5 percent of the vote compared to Correa’s 49.5. On Saturday, Daucher had 50.4 percent and Correa 49.6 percent.

County elections officials are counting 128,000 absentee, provisional and paper ballots with an estimated 12,000 to 17,500 affecting the Daucher-Correa race.
