Please welcome our newest blogger – Ryan Gene Williams (pictured at left in his classic martial art’s pose), the college student who is running as the GOP candidate for the 69th Assembly District this fall. Williams hails from Texas, and he is a student at Orange Coast Community College. He has made a lot of friends this year during his underdog campaign – and I think he will add something to our blog as he will automatically become our youngest blogger.
I have asked Williams not to post anything about his opponent, Jose Solorio, as that would not be fair. He has some fun ideas for our blog, and I think we will all enjoy his contributions. I’m also thinking of starting a new feature, “Ask the Gabacho,” and giving that assignment to Williams.

Dear Art/Claudio: Just a thought regarding other possible female bloggers…How about one a young(20’s) politically active Latina …maybe the woman who has that coffee shop up at Main and the 5 Freeway(I don’t know if she’s in to politics but she comes off as well spoken in the paper) or ask Rueben Martinez who he thinks would be good because there are always women like that hanging out at his store…
