I received OC Supervisor Bill Campbell’s email newsletter today, and found this item about former OC Supervisor Gaddi Vasquez:

GADDI VASQUEZ – The Board approved a resolution congratulating Gaddi Vasquez, former Director of the Peace Corps and Third District Supervisor, on his swearing-in as United States Ambassador to the United Nations Agencies for Food and Agriculture. Click here to view the resolution.

What does this mean exactly? Is this a step up from the Peace Corps? Is Vasquez going to be in charge of helping our farmers to get rid of surplus produce? I can see Vasquez standing on the corner by the UN headquarters, selling naranjas – a bag for $5! Sounds like a deal to me…
