Bush visit to Irvine will be protested
Today’s L.A. Times is reporting that Monday’s visit to Irvine, where he will be talking to the Orange County Business Council about his immigration plans, won’t be protested by the Minutemen. Perhaps. But I received an email message earlier this week, which I am enclosing below, attesting to the fact that there will indeed be a protest by a group called CASA – Citizen Activists for a Secure America. You can read the Times article at http://www.latimes.com/news/local/orange/la-me-irvine23apr23,1,2709044.story?coll=la-editions-orange&ctrack=1&cset=true.
Dear Supporter of Secure Borders and Legal Immigration, President Bush will be speaking to the Orange County Business Council in Irvine on Monday morning. Join us and several other groups at the Hyatt Regency Irvine to show Bush that we want border security and we will not accept any guest worker/amnesty program. The news media will be giving this event heavy coverage and we want to make sure the will of the majority of Americans is represented.
This is an early meeting and on a weekday, but we urge you to make plans to attend as Bush is not in our area very often and especially at such a critical time with the Senate dealing with illegal immigration issues.
Date: Monday, April 24, 2006
Time: Bush to speak between 8:00am and 9:00am, we suggest you arrive early at 7:00am

WOW, isn’t this a crazy world. Art announcing a protest against President Bush. Absolutely hilarious. Claudio, I thought you would have been on top of this for the anti-war crowd.
