Tran trouncing Daucher with local Republican endorsements
More good news from the Van Tran for the 34th State Senate District campaign. Tran is absolutely trouncing his liberal Republican opponent, Lynn Daucher, with respect to endorsements from local Republican elected officials.

Many of us in Santa Ana will never be able to support Van Tran’s politics.
Mr. Tran showed incredible disregard and disrespect for Santa Ana’s West End residents by being part of a campaign which forced a sign for a political organization to be put on public city property. He was one of the front men for this purported “businessman’s” group. Over the concerns of the largest neighborhood association in the city, this sign for businesses in Little Saigon (located outside Santa Ana) was placed smack dab in the middle of a residential area. His disregard for the people who live there makes him an unacceptable candidate to represent the interests of Santa Ana residents.
In addition, his misguided quest to pass legislation recognizing a foreign flag for a now nonexistent country puts him at odds with international interests. Most people don’t care if you want to fly a flag yourself, but when, as an elected legislator, Mr. Tran seeks to entangle himself and this state in unnecessary world politics, he is not properly representing the people of this district.
I recall that sign mess. Let me just say that I, like you, was upset by that, but in the big picture we need to remember that both Umberg and Correa will be bad for business and for our state economy. That is particularly true with Umberg. Both can be expected to try to water down the workers comp changes that Arnold Schwarzenegger pushed for – those changes helped our state economy rebound. Any changes to the Arnold reform package will do ill to our economy and make it hard to pay back our state debt. Local issues are everything, I know, but there is more to think about in the long run…
