Correa’s hired hands up to their old tricks again
When I ran the Lou Lopez campaign for the 69th Assembly District, against incumbent Lou Correa (D-Anaheim) I was introduced to the sheer thuggery of Correa’s campaign helpers. Time and again we would find our signs torn down and Correa’s signs in their place. We also heard that Correa’s people quite often would blitz a well-traveled street, such as Bristol, and put signs on every lawn – often without permission from the residents.
Now the Correa shenanigans have cropped up again. Republican friends of mine saw that a number of Brett Franklin’s campaign signs were torn down today at the corner of Bristol and Warner. Guess whose signs were in their place? You guessed it – Lou Correa’s. These candidates are running against each other, and two others, for the First Supervisorial District.
Will anyone go after Correa’s thugs this time around? They’ll have to be caught in the act, and that won’t be easy. This is not the only criminal activity that has come out of Correa’s office. During the Bush campaign for president, back in 2000, one of Correa’s staffers was arrested outside of the Bush headquarters in Santa Ana for causing a disturbance. This year, indeed in recent weeks, an email scandal has erupted in Correa’s legislative office that is even now threatening the career of Correa’s chief of staff, Chris Leo.
The disturbing trend of lawlessness emanating from Correa is a good reason for local voters to reject him in the March primary.
There's the rumor she was connected somehow to Melahat. And she did work for the same firm as Jeff Flint…
