The Opioid Epidemic and the OC Homeless.

Gotta get rid of all the crazed drug addicted homeless people before they get us, or – God forbid – our children!  Now settle down, settle down, because the opiod epidemic is nationwide.  There are 1.7 million prescriptions in OC alone.  “The average prescription in OC was filled for 72 pills, which corresponds to over 122 million pills in one year.”

Straight from the OC Health info site:

There were nearly 21,000 Higher ED visit rates were found in coastal and southern cities-Dana Point, Costa Mesa, San Clemente, Laguna Beach, and Laguna Woods. Coastal and southern cities demonstrated the highest rates of opioid-related mortality relative to the rest of the county – Laguna Beach, Laguna Woods, Dana Point, Costa Mesa, Laguna Niguel, Huntington Beach, and Laguna Hills.

Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, Morphine, Methadone, Hydromorphone – those are the most dispensed, and believe it or not, a bunch of white people who live in homes by the beach are the major users, overdosing and dying.

America has about 4 percent of the world’s population — but about 27 percent of the world’s drug overdose deaths.

Why are local politicians scaring people by equating homelessness and drug addiction? I am not sure but the tactic is dangerous. Reminds me of the rhetoric used against Jews in Germany and Blacks in America. Those Evil Jew Devils are out to get our children. Those criminal weed-smoking blacks are gonna rape your wife. Those evil, degenerate, drug using homeless people are gonna get you, your family and “your little dog too,” and make them dirty!

Many homeless people from the River Bed were sent to local motels. Their neighbors with homes seem to eat this scary BS for breakfast, digesting it like a gourmet feast and expounding upon it like any Great Lie. Then they spew it out in hate-fueled troll-fests, comments on news articles and in meetings with city council members.

One notorious anti-homeless leader is putting together a MILITIA to make sure none of those scoundrels sneak into their neighborhoods! Get out the white sheets and rope so we can string up any of the poor, handicapped, homeless people that stumble into our neighborhoods!

(Damn those home owners whose trees are not high enough for a good lynching! Guess they just might have to wait a few years till the trees grow another few feet.)

Perhaps the neighbors should check Megan’s Law and see how many child molesters live on their streets in homes, before they worry about some guy or girl that lost their job, house, car and now lives on the streets of OC.

Wanna help the homeless in the short term? Go trim the trees in the surrounding neighborhoods located by the cheap Motels and homeless encampments around town. Getting down on your knees and saying a prayer couldn’t hurt either. Or if you have a heart get involved and really help.
