State Senator Mimi Walters ran one of the most racist political campaigns in recent history when she defeated Anaheim Councilman Harry Sidhu in 2008. Now she has announced that she is running for California State Treasurer, according to the Sacramento Bee.
Walters had this to say about the incumbent, Democrat Bill Lockyer, he is “out of touch and out of ideas.”
Really? In October of last year, Lockyer took a very brave stand against the waste that is public employee pensions, according to the Calpensions website:
Lockyer, who sits on both the CalPERS and CalSTRS public pension boards, got the attention of his listeners during a legislative hearing yesterday. “It’s impossible for this Legislature to reform the pension system, and if we don’t it will bankrupt the state,” is the Lockyer quote jotted down by one observer.
It sure doesn’t look like Lockyer is as out of ideas as Walters would like us to believe!

There is no way I can back the Mexican-hating Walters. Lockyer has my full support.
Here are just a few of the racist mailers that Walters sent out in 2008:
